PLAY BABY is one day spent in a parrot shop in the center of Den Haag. Its floor overwhelmed my eyes of joy and sadness at the same time. I photographed its inhabitants, getting to know them bit by bit. They, gently came to me and I to them. Colors and shapes mixed with sensations of love, death, life, freedom of being, of expression, of movement, of the body, of knowing, of choice, of looking, of flying, of something. Some kind of freedom. If that space was for them and if they were actually playing in it, this I still have to better understand.
